Starting from 22 - 26 May 2011 where it will begin with meetings with different levels of authorities in Sudan and close with an one day workshop in the morning of 25 May at the Grand Holiday Villa 9 a.m which will meet with 25 Experts from relevant institutes that will be devoted for Presentation of the proposals and recommondations

CGEB first Scientific Report 2007- 2009

The Commission for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (CGEB) of the National Centre for Research published the first Scientific Report covering the period 2007- 2009 that reflects the commission accomplishments, challenges and lessons of the past three years. The report falls within 110 A4 coloured pages showing the commission research efforts in the areas of Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Medical Biology, and Biochemistry. The commission acts as a focal point in the Sudan for the African Agency for Biotechnology and the Inter- Islamic Network on genetic Engineering and Biotechnology as well as the International Centre for Gentic Engeneering and Biotechnology.

HAT Platform Annual Meeting  27- 29 November 2007 Khartoum

HE Salah Adam State Minister for Science and Technology opened the annual meeting at the Grand Holiday Villa by a speech where he greeted the participants from the various African countries, the guests and the organizers wishing them a successful meeting full of fruitful outcome.

Similar speeches were delivered from the General Secretary of the National Centre for Research, Representative from the Ministry of Health and the organizers; Dr. Intisar Elrayah and Dr. Augustin Ebeja HAT Platform Coordinator

 is organizing its 8th Scientific Conference on:
 
Control of Endemic Diseases for Sustainable Development
Aiming at
Healthier Productive Community
 
The conference is open for scientists from Sudan and abroad to submit their papers according to the following:
 
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the conference is to improve the efficiency of the control of endemic diseases for sustainable development with specific objectives to:
1.       Highlight the biomedical research and its socioeconomic impact on development.
2.       Identify the local resources and development of pharmaceutical industry.
3.       Raise awareness on recent advances in control strategies.
4.       Exchange experience on the control of endemic diseases with regional and international institutions and organizations.
 
THEMES
  1. Research policies, research laws, bioethics and control strategies of diseases.
  2. Endemic and communicable diseases in Sudan and their socio-economic impact
  3. Emerging diseases, control and experience of control in other areas.
  4. Zoonotic diseases
  5. Local resources for disease control
  6. Advances in treatment, chemotherapy and pharmaceutical industries
Note to Participants
  • Request for participation and deadline for abstract submission is April 31, 2007 *.
  • Abstracts (250-400 words) should be sent BY E-mail in addition to a hard copy
  • Authors of accepted papers will be notified by May 15 , 2007.
  • Full text of accepted papers should be submitted BY E-mail on July 1st , 2007.
  • Accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings, moreover, authors wishing to publish their papers in the Sudan Journal of Scientific Research (EL BUHUTH), their papers will be further subjected to peer reviewing.
